My dear readers please clear you mind and let
this story help you if you have gone threw something similar! This is a
true story on how I over came my affliction.First have no doubt in your
mind that you can over come any thing that you set in you mind.
(GREAT FALL)
of 1999 I fell 50 feet broke so many bones that you could not count
them. I was crippled my back exploded from the impact.I broke my left
hand,both of my ankles exploded and all my teeth became lose and I pulled them out.
"I felt like I got ran over by a train!"
It was a day just like any other,I got up that morning on the day of Nov. 22 1999 three days before thanksgiving, Anyway I went to my truck that morning and the truck would not start so I called in told the boss I was going to be late,I call my brother and told him the same, we worked together and I would give him rides to work. I called a friend and went to Napa Auto parts store to get the part I needed,

That took most of the morning to fix it but I got it done.By now it was about 9:30 in the morning I finely left to go to work I picked up my brother and we were on our way.We arrived at work at 10:45 in the morning, we said good morning to our co workers as we look over the game plan for the day,
I was to be the lead man for the rest of the day, you see I was the
guy that put the first screw in the insulation on the roof, of that 50
foot building that we were assembling. I got on the man lift like we
always do when getting on top of a building.
So my job was like most jobs it was routine, I have done it over and over many times only this time was different 'I made a mistake".This was my mistake, I was using a screw gun and we were using self tappers but my gun was having a problem putting the screws in .The screws kept kicking out instead of screwing them in,

So with out even thinking I put all my weight on it
"then it happened,I fell 50 feet!" On my way down it was so fast I barely
got out a single thought,of course that thought was, OH MY GOD I AM
FALLING, I remember that moment like it just happened.
I was blessed that day what, I mean is I could of died hitting the ground doing a 180 miles a hour landing on frozen sand,but I did not. On the way down, remember that screw gun well the cord had stopped short causing me to flip up rite on my feet and rolling over from the speed and the impact. I do thank God that I am still here everyday is a gift of life to me.

Back to my true story, after hitting the ground and rolling over
All I saw when I hit the ground was a flash of light. I think that flash
was from the intense pain I was feeling at that moment, but I can not
say for sure! As I laid on the ground the first one to be by my side was
my brother he was at the edge of the roof waiting for me to start that
first screw, so they could pull it tight and finish laying it down for
the next step which was putting on the sheet metal.
My brother ran over to me to see if I was alive and he touched me,I told him with a voice that was Just about out of air no do not touch me I am in lots of pain! Where does it hurt he asked! I told him like I just got ran over by a train so everywhere. My boss Call 911 they sent the flight for life helicopter to take me to Rockford memorial hospital.
Earlier that morning the workers had cut the bands on the 20 foot sheets of sheet metal that I told you about as the helicopter arrived and I was laying on the ground watching what was going on. I saw those 20 foot sheets lifting up and start hurling threw the air. As the men ran around trying to secure them down. My thought was great not only did I just about kill myself now I taking out the crew to! Thank God no one else got hurt I could of gotten ugly at that moment I do not know if I could ever foregive myself If someone would of died because of me thank you a gian LORD!!!!!!
I finally made it to the hospital it seemed like a long flight and most of my family and friends were there to give me support, I remember talking to the doctor while the others were cutting of my boots, he asked the normal questions. when he finished with my history he told my I was very lucky to be here he said it not the fall that kills you it is what you land on,then I thought to my self I was blessed because if I would of fallen a day before I would of landed on top of a semi truck so who knows what would of happen then!
Well my stay in the hospital was a long one I was in lots of pain and at that time I was questioning my faith trying to figure out what I had done to deserve this just like any person would. the Doctor told me I might not walk again so I was really upset and full of self pity.After a couple of days went by I was felling a little better except my mouth hurt really bad, they did nothing about the teeth hanging by threads, I had to eat puree food!

On thanksgiving they brought me my
puree thanksgiving dinner I said to myself that it I can no longer eat
this junk! So I pulled out my own teeth the ones that were falling out
and causing me pain, they hurt more than my broken back. I threw all my
teeth on a plate and pushed the nurses button, so they would come to see
what I needed.
You should of saw her face when she walk threw the door
and all my bloody teeth laying there then I slid the plate towards her
and said bring me some real food please!
I got that dinner I had been longing for I thought to my self man this is a great life is good and thanked GOD to be alive.well you know that it was almost 13 years ago and a lot has happen since then and really I need to write a book to tell you every thing that has happened since so I will make the rest short and just let you know what I think helped me get threw my troubles besides the GOOD LORD
My Why would not let me stay that way for long with intense therapy I began to walk Again After lots of prayer I found the ( GREATEST DOCTOR IN THE WORLD ) His name was Doctor Sweet, and he did a ( SWEET JOB LET ME EXPLAIN ) First he cut me open then he cut me in HALF, and put a steal cage in the 3rd lumbar,down, then he cut me from my groin to my shoulder blade( LEFT SIDE) it gets better then he put my lower rib in my lower back to keep them inline. THEN HE SUPPER GLUED ME TOGETHER there are no stitches or staples on the out side of my body, back to my WHY, GOD spared me then he blessed me and I want to give (back) and help people, my favorite word how do you like my true story so far let me know your thoughts and lets share stories because I have more !
